Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 2026
1. Introduction
Mozi ("we", "our", "us") operates the Mozi desktop application and the trymozi.com website. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.
2. Local-First Architecture
Mozi is designed with a local-first architecture. The AI copilot runs entirely on your machine. Your Ableton Live projects, audio files, MIDI data, and creative work never leave your computer. We do not have access to your music or project files.
3. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you create an account:
- Email address
- Name (optional)
- Hashed password (if using email/password authentication)
- Google account identifier (if using Google Sign-In)
If you opt in to telemetry, we may collect anonymous usage data such as feature usage counts and crash reports. This data does not include any personally identifiable information or creative content.
4. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account
- To send email verification and password reset emails
- To provide access to the desktop application download
- To improve our product and services (aggregated, anonymous data only)
5. Data Storage and Security
Account data is stored on secure servers hosted on Microsoft Azure. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. Authentication tokens are stored securely and expire automatically. We use HTTPS for all communications between your browser and our servers.
6. Third-Party Services
- Google Sign-In: If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile picture from Google. See Google's Privacy Policy for details.
- Resend: We use Resend to send transactional emails (verification, password reset).
- Stripe: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Opt out of telemetry at any time
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@trymozi.com.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
